Kanab Area Art Galleries

Artist Maynard Dixon lived in the small town of Mt Carmel, located on Hwy 89 north of Kanab. Some of his most famous works depict the area's red-rock scenery and Western lifestyle. Today, many artists are drawn here, some to live as full-time residents and others to participate in retreats as they try to capture the essence of rock, water and sky. The galleries below showcase the some of these artistic endeavors.
