Travel Offices
This Utah Travel Region section details nine regional organizations comprised of counties with common recreational opportunities. They are listed geographically west to east, north to south. Click on any map icon to view a larger scale map of that region.
The Utah Travel Region offices are the best resources available for information and advice on recreation and attractions in their specific areas. Each region produces and distributes brochures, maps, calendars of events, and other detailed information on their area of the state. The regions provide both trip planning assistance, and visitor centers staffed with knowledgeable Utah residents. If you are interested, we have also provided a list of Public & Private Agencies within the state.

Golden Spike Empire
Unmatched sunsets over the Great Salt Lake, the historic completion site of the first Transcontinental Railroad, a splash in the Great Salt Lake, or a view of Utah's largest buffalo herd at Antelope Island S.P. await visitors to this region. In the Golden Spike Empire, cities, down-hill ski resorts, historic preservation, and sites for family fun guarantee a memorable visit.

Cache Valley
Cache Valley is located only 85 miles north of Salt Lake City in a pristine, green valley along Highway 89, the shortest and most scenic route to Yellowstone. Logan Canyon was recently named as a National Scenic Byway, and should not be missed on a tour of northern Utah. At the summit of the canyon, you can see a spectacular view of turquoise Bear Lake. The lake is a boating and fishing destination in the summer and a snowmobile destination int he winter. One of Cache Valley's main attractions is the American West Heritage Center, where you can relive 100 years of the American West. This area is known for its outdoor recreation opportunities: camping, mountain biking, fishing, boating. In the winter, ski at Beaver Mountain Ski resort or snowmobile in Logan Canyon. Cache Valley hosts several large events: the Top of Utah Marathon, Cache Valley Cruise-in Car Show, the Utah Festival Opera Company and the Festival of the American West.

Great Salt Lake Country
Spreading east and west from Utah's capital city, Great Salt Lake Country includes mountains & desert terrain, and offers cultural events, year-round recreation, and famous historic sites and trails.

Mountainland
World-class skiing, summer theater under the stars, and the eerie formations of Timpanogos Cave are only part of Mountainland's varied attractions. There are also scenic roads, biking destinations, and the best in alpine recreation.

Dinosaurland
The pristine Uinta Mountains and miles of open space highlight this region of lakes and red rock gorges where outlaws and dinosaurs once roamed. Flaming Gorge, Dinosaur National Monument, and several state parks round out Dinosaurland's offerings.

Panoramaland
In Panoramaland, rockhounding sites in the Great Basin Desert mix with the soaring cliffs of Capitol Reef, sparkling lakes and spectacular mountain drives. The region also has diverse history, from mining relics, and restored homes from the settlement era to the Territorial Statehouse.

Castle Country
Castle Country offers a unique balance of enticing mountain and desert terrain, a hearty dose of history, and the comforts of civilization offered up with small town friendliness. The region invites exploration of geology, the remnants of ancient cultures, dinosaurs, and ghosts of Utah's mining past.

Color Country
In Color Country, the sunset hues of Utah's oldest National Parks blend with the deep green of the Dixie National Forest, and the red and yellow BLM canyonlands, creating a region worthy of its name. But beyond scenery, Color Country has unique recreational and cultural opportunities including year-round golf.
